General Bratterling is an alien race allied with the Keronians. One of them, who lives in the Alien Street makes many appearances throughout the series, although he has no proper name. The General Bratterling are "What's yours is mine" type aliens, self-centered and arrogant. Although they are allied with the Keronians, he sometimes treats Keroro and the others in demeaning manner. He loves to sing and has given recitals, but he is tone deaf, so his singing just bothers everyone around him. An Entouragian alien often follows him around, praising him and going along with his requests.
He makes many appearances in later anime stories, like episode 137 part A, episode 142 part B, episode 206 part A, episode 238 part A, episode 271 part A, and episode 281 part B, in addition to minor appearances in other episodes.
Appearance[]
A yellow alien wearing an orange body suit that covers his entire body outside of his head and a large mouth. His body has a stocky build. The shape of his head resembles a sleeping cap. He's about as tall as a human child, although that still makes him significantly taller than the Keronians.
Trivia[]
"[ガキ大将]" or "General Brat" is the name of a character type in Japan, referencing the strongest one in a group of children, often playing the role of bullies.
General Bratterling's tone deafness, alongside his overall character, are references to Gian from Doraemon, one of the most famous characters of that type.
