Haru Hinata (日向 春 Hinata Haru) is a character in the series Keroro Gunso.

Not much is known about Haru. It seems that he's constantly traveling around the world and is rarely home, but the reason for his traveling isn't known. Although Keroro has stayed with the Hinata family for a long time by the time of the anime's seventh season, he had never even heard his name before episode 357.

Haru's briefly mentioned and shown in a flashback during episode 5 of the anime, as Fuyuki's father. However, the series avoids actually showing anything about him. Haru only appears, in the present, at the end of episode 357, opening the front door of the Hinata house. Fuyuki and Natsumi were ecstatic to see him, because he would finally come home after a long time.

His own interest in mysteries around the world, like the Easter Island's Moais, seemed to inspire Fuyuki's occult obsession (Fuyuki remembers the picture of a Moai in his father's room during Movie 5).

His original surname and the reason that he adopted his wife's surname, rather than the other way around, aren't known, although it might be because Aki has no brothers. In Japan, if there is no living male heir, the daughter's husband is encouraged to assume the family name.

In the manga it is implied he knew Aki since middle school.

Appearance[]

Fuyuki and Natsumi's father

Haru's hair and skin are colored similarly to Natsumi's, slightly tanned and with pink hair. His hair is kept short and had visible bangs in front, although his face has never been shown.

In an old picture kept in Aki's room, he's shown toting a duffel bag and wearing a baggy dark blue shirt and jeans while arriving from one of his travels. He also had a pink armband, which he still wears even years later in the present.
