Full Plot of Episode[]
"What if you had just one day left to spend time with someone? What would you do?" - Narrator, Episode 51.
Keroro is woken up in the middle of the night by his superiors, who inform him that he and his platoon's presence on Pekopon is a danger, and that they are to leave for Planet Keron in 24 hours. His superior leaves a head of his Gundam Model on a clock and leaves. In the morning, Keroro wakes up again, only to believe that his conversation with his superior was a dream. He sees the head of his Gundam model on his clock and realizes that it wasn't a dream and that he and his platoon have to evacuate in one day. Keroro fears that if he goes back to Keron without completing the Pekopon invasion, he would be in a state of humiliation. He panics, knowing that he only has one day to finish the invasion. Giroro comments that Keroro must have had a nightmare, to which Kururu confirms that Keroro is telling the truth about the evactution. At the realization that they have to leave, Tamama leaves the Hinata house and goes back to Momoka Nishizawa's manor.
Suddenly, Keroro remembers that he had an instruction manual for invading Pekopon and rummages around the house to find it. He soon acquires it under a tile in the Hinata house kitchen. While holding the lengthy manual, Natsumi Hinata appears behind him, grimacing at his invasion manual. Natsumi takes the book from Keroro's arms and tells him to do his chores, as according to the calendar, it's his turn to clean the house. As Keroro creates a scene about his book, Fuyuki Hinata comes down the steps. He notices Keroro's dilemma and empathizes with him, telling his sister, Natsumi, to return it. She reluctantly gives in, though reminds him that he still has chore duty.
To complete two birds with one stone, Keroro proceeds to read the manual while completing his chores. While doing laundry, he gets frustrated that Natsumi didn't separate her colored and white clothes, and throws all of her clothes in the washing machine. He doesn't take to measure the detergent and eyeballs it. After, he continues to clean the house in a rush, worrying that he won't have time to complete the invasion.
While Keroro cleans, Giroro packs his belongings and notices his bag of sweet potatoes that he and Natsumi usually share. In the Nishizawa manor, Tamama locks himself in his room and stuffs himself with candy and snacks, expressing that this might be his only chance at eating Pekoponian food again. He then slowly becomes sad as he grasps that it is boring to eat without company. In Kururu's lab, he is shown to be sitting in a chair with a small green device being built and does his trademark laugh.
Keroro continues to read aloud the requirements of what a leader of an invasion platoon should do while vacuuming Fuyuki's room. Fuyuki notices Keroro's labor and kindly tells him to stop cleaning and enjoy his time reading. Keroro gratefully leaps in the air, throws the vacuuming, and jumps to hug Fuyuki. The two's embrace is quickly stopped when the vacuum sucks up Keroro's pages (that he's ripped out and plastered on the walls). In panic, Keroro grabs the vacuum, only for the tube to fall off. The vacuum proceeds to suck up every page of Keroro's manual, crushing them. He goes back to his room in an attempt for Angol Mois to fix the pages. The clock in his bedroom rings, signalling that it is already evening.
Keroro becomes frustrated that he had wasted his morning on chores, and blames Natsumi for not letting him finish his invasion. He remarks that she would be greatly sorry later, however, Kururu states that she and the rest of their Pekoponinan friends would lose their memories about the Keroro Platoon. Keroro contemplates at the lost of his friend's memories becoming, and grows sad at the realization.
During dinner, Keroro sees that Natsumi had cooked beef stew, his favorite food. Aki Hinata comes into the kitchen in time for dinner, delighted that she got out of work early. She notices the large amount of food and ask what special occasion there is. Natsumi says she only cooked an abundance because there was a sale on meat that day. Fuyuki, however, denies this, remarking that she cooked so much as a reward for Keroro's hard work while doing chores. In embarrassment, Natsumi scolds him for revealing her secret. She quickly becomes defensive and comments that her laundry and the house was especially clean today, a commendable action that Keroro did not mean to do.
As a bonus reward for Keroro's hard work, Aki raises his allowance for this month. Keroro becomes overjoyed at this, knowing that he'll spend his money to buy another Gundam Model with Fuyuki later. Although, he quickly realizes that he won't have a month, neither a next day. He and the Hinata family continue to have one last dinner with joy. Except, Keroro knows that today is his last day with them.
Later, Natsumi goes up to Giroro at night. The two sit beside his campfire to share baked sweet potatoes and time together. The rest of the Hinata family continue to clean up dinner. Keroro thanks Aki for helping him put dishes away, and she wisely says that cleaning is fun if there are others to help you. Feeling melancholy after Aki's words, he grows tears at his eyes, knowing that he won't be able to spend time with the Hinata family anymore.
Keroro closes his bag and finishes packing. He looks around his room and remorsefully states that he and his platoon didn't complete the invasion. Although, he says to himself that maybe it's the best that it was never completed. He sneaks into Fuyuki's room to take his Kero Ball back, and leaves the Hinata household. The rest of the platoon are shown to solemnly say their goodbyes to their asleep Pekoponian counterparts. Tamama takes a glance at Momoka before leaving, and confided to himself that she would be alright without him.
Saburo receives a message from Kururu, saying that he is smarter than him, a message to part their ways. The Keroro Platoon, excluding Dororo, and Angol Mois meet up at a playground and wait for the Keron Army to pick them up. Dororo suddenly appears behind the platoon, ready although reluctant to leave Pekopon. Before they leave, Koyuki Azumaya jumps down to say goodbye to Dororo. The two hug each other, and Koyuki proclaims that she would never forget him.
Kururu takes out a machine and tells Keroro that they still need to press a button that will wipe everyone's memories about the Keroro Platoon's existence. Keroro is faced with the decision whether to erase their memories or keep them. He hesitates, and reminds himself of time spent with the Hinata family. Before changing his mind, Keroro quickly commands Kururu to press the switch, which he does. The Keroro Platoon and Angol Mois are picked up by the Keron Army, and they all slowly watch as every belonging and memory that they had an impact on disappears.
As the platoon is pulled up, memories of Fuyuki and Natsumi flash in Keroro's mind. He starts crying at the fact that he'll never get to spend time with them again. He yells out to the distance Fuyuki's name, which wakes him up. The platoon look down at Pekopon, and with teared eyes, they all call out goodbye to the world. As if Fuyuki knows this, he gets up from bed and looks out his window.
Several days later, the Pekoponians continue their life as normal, although Fuyuki feels as if something is off. Their world seems to have reset, and Momoka is shown to be hiding behind a wall, wishing that she had a way to talk to Fuyuki. In the evening, Natsumi stares out the window, into the sunset, and daydreams about roasted sweet potatoes. She catches herself mumbling, and questions why she is dreaming of such things. Although, she notes that it was more than food.
In Fuyuki's room, he is reading a book about encounters with aliens. The book informs that most people that have had contact with aliens have received memory manipulation, and Fuyuki becomes suspicious of his state because of his own odd memory. He lays down on his bed and intensely stares at the wall where he and Keroro first met each other. Slowly, a memory of Keroro revealing himself, a callback to Keroro Lands, de arimasu!. At this uncovered memory, he rushes downstairs and runs into a basement. Fuyuki opens the door to Keroro's ex-room, only for him to find darkness and storage boxes. Natsumi and Aki walk down to meet him, and Natsumi points out that she never knew they had a basement. Aki tells Fuyuki that he shouldn't open the door. He ends Aki's sentence, saying, "Why, a ghost might appear?", another callback to I am Sergeant Keroro, de arimasu!.
Aki is shocked that Fuyuki knows why he shouldn't open the door, and quickly denies it. Fuyuki steps inside the room to search around and finds a small mini fridge. He opens it to reveal a Gundam model, to an unknown reason to himself, he starts crying at the sight of it. He comments that he feels as if he is missing a precious friend that he shouldn't have forgotten. In the morning, Fuyuki is sitting outside in the backyard, building the model he found. Kitten proceeds to meow at Fuyuki, although Fuyuki is unsure why. In the distance, the Keroro Platoon and Angol Mois stand on the fence with their anti-barriers on.
Giroro scolds Keroro, noting that he had misled the platoon. It is revealed that the platoon were not actually forced to leave Pekopon for good. Instead, they had been called to Planet Keron in order to do a health check up. Kururu tells Keroro that they should find another area to start their new base in, although Keroro is distracted by Fuyuki putting legs on the Zeong, a Gundam model. He leaps from the fence, runs, and leaps towards Fuyuki to stop him. Fuyuki looks up at the sky, and slowly, he notices Keroro's presence. He cries and embraces Keroro into a hug, desperately asking him where he was for so long. Keroro pulls away from Fuyuki's hug and formally greets himself to Fuyuki. Keroro is slowly picked up by Fuyuki, who tells him that he knows who he is.
The rest of the platoon is shocked that Fuyuki regained his memories. Kururu examines his mind erasing machine and sees that Fuyuki's mind has no memory of contact with Keroro. The platoon is still confused about how Fuyuki knows who Keroro is, and Dororo warmly states that it's impossible to erase memories of the heart. Everyone concludes that instead of creating a new base, they would restore their old one. Kururu pulls out a backup card to reverse the changes of the mind erasing machine. Each item and memory that the platoon tampered with gradually returns to normal and appears again. The rest of the Hinata family and Pekoponian partners arrive, and each of them share a moment with their respective Keronian partners. As the grand finale, Keroro declares to his platoon that their mission to Pekopon rises again.
